Flector pain plaster – product launch for IBSA
The Swiss pharmaceuticals company IBSA has commissioned sellxpert as the sole service provider for the introduction of the product “Flector pain plaster” to the German market.
This expands the healthcare service provider’s portfolio to include an area that previously lay exclusively in the hands of the pharma industry.
Alongside the convincing quality of the employees, the decisive factor in granting this assignment was the fact that IBSA has easy and friction-free access to the highly innovative and professional sellxpert network at every stage of the product launch. A high degree of flexibility is an enormous advantage, especially when introducing a product. First, the strategy for the launch campaign was jointly developed: Although “Flector” is an OTC product, it was decided that not only the pharmacist should be contacted as a Point of Sale; those responsible wanted – in contrast to most competitors – above all specialists, orthopaedists and sports doctors to endorse the product. In no time, sellxpert had recruited a Sales and Marketing Manager and an appropriate pharma representative as it was very important to involve the sales team in planning the activities in the market as early as possible. A team of 15 employees received intensive training and has been introducing the Flector pain plaster into Germany and Switzerland since 20.10.2008. It has been well received by both doctors and pharmacists.
