Sales and the 'Talent Magnet'

A lot is written about being a ‘Talent Magnet’, either as a company, or as President. It’s all good practice – listen, mentor, reward, provide clear goals and career maps. Good practice for the employer, but what about the employee?

The Universal Solution
Applications in the food and luxury food industry and in the pharmaceutical sector place strict demands on process safety and require equipment to have smooth, easy-to-clean surfaces. In the food and luxury food industry, stainless steel surfaces are required, which must be resistant to all conventional cleaning processes. In the pharmaceutical sector, polished surfaces are crucial. As the only supplier on the market, Bürkert offers the universal solution for both sectors: a combination of valve plus sensor. However, our products can, of course, also be combined with all components made by other manufacturers.

Beautiful Concept becomes Reality... ELEMENT
After 3 years of exhaustive R&D, focus groups, certification and on site endurance testing ELEMENT emerges as the new standard in process measurement and control.

ELEMENT is a complete system approach to allow our customers to solve their process problems encompassing the total loop; valves, sensors and controllers. ELEMENT includes valves for on-off and modulating control and sensors for pH/ORP, conductivity and level all in one beautifully simple architecture.

ELEMENT valves and sensors are reliable in the control of inert fluids, steam, corrosive solvents and chemicals or abrasive fluids such as slurries in a wide variety of application environments. They combine the chemical characteristics of engineered polymers with the beauty and endurance of stainless steel, ELEMENT’s platform is rugged and clean. There's no paint, pockets or pneumatic lines and valves are delivered with super-bright visual feedback. Simple maintenance in a throwaway society means they are more environmentally friendly than other current solutions.

Bürkert’s ongoing development in combining control and communications technology with process hardware is unparalleled. Factory floor communications and status monitoring is available via simple 4-20mA or a range of digital protocols. ELEMENT’s sensors and valves can also be linked via Bürkert’s AirLINE process control centres. ELEMENT surpasses industry standards in flexibility and simplicity and are a joy to commission and calibrate. ELEMENT integrates control attributes into valves and sensors.

Highly Integrated Intelligence
ELEMENT offers integrated intelligence for distributed closed-loop control systems and features all-round user-friendly programming and operation. Modularity means: an actuator concept with integrated automation that communicates via fieldbus or PLC and which combines the required visual aspect with efficient technology for the respective application. Its advantage: an extremely compact, space-saving design ensuring a high degree of integration and stability.

Approved for a Broad Range of Tasks
Bürkert’s modular actuator concept ELEMENT complies with the regulations for the following fields of application with respect to its structure and use of modules and
components:

  • IP65/67, NEMA4x
  • Use of materials resistant to cleaning fluids
  • Exterior design pursuant to EHEDG regulations (approval pending)
  • 3A Certification
  • ATEX
  • UL/CSA
